“Read, read, read.”
– William Faulkner
This is the year to read at least 12 books. That’s one book a month. Is that so hard? What about 2 books a month? Three books?
Now is the time to take note of all your time vampires, and decide to replace one with a good book. So, yeah, I should be reading instead of watching the Real Housewives. And later this afternoon I’m gonna pull out a book during the football game and commit to 20 pages — yes, my family will mock me for it, but I can take it.
So what will you read this year?
Sit down and map out twelve months of books. Go back and visit some old favorites. Dust off a classic you haven’t thought about since your senior year English class. Or peruse the Top 10 books of the week on USA Today, The LA Times, or The New York Times.
This month I am committing to The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. I’ll let you know how it goes.
